We have all been following the aftermath of the Hurricane Sandy, the devastation and reconstruction at the Jersey shore; some of us have witnessed this first hand. We have expressed our sympathy and donated money, now we are ready to help rebuild. The Mission Committee has partnered with "We Are Team Jersey" a volunteer organization that has been working with
homeowners in the shore area since the storm hit. WATJ has been sending teams of volunteers to help rebuild along the area between Brick and Toms River. Would you like to be a part of the Wyoming team to go work on Saturday Feb 23rd.
We will meet at Wyoming Church @ 8:30 AM and car pool to our assigned site, returning around 5:30 PM. Contact David Berry directly, or reach him on our contact page to participate in this ministry. More details to follow soon.
Mission Committee Elder Liz LeClair talks about this year's Pumpkin Patch (as the unloading goes on around her!).

by a buffet dinner with prizes and great fellowship. Proceeds from the all inclusive charge of $150 will be used to support campers through the Karin Peri scholarship fund. We are looking for a dry day to play this year! For a brochure and further information, please contact Wendy Chandler at 908-852-2349 or via email@example.com or Kay Britton.
The Mission Committee needs your help. Wyoming Church hosted a Pumpkin Patch from 2004 to 2006. We took a break for two years (2007 and 2008) during construction. In 2009 Jane Collingwood brought the Pumpkin Patch back and served as Coordinator in 2009, 2010 and 2011. (Check out the pictures from last year!). In 2011 we surpassed every other year with sales of $22,259. Thanks to Jane’s tireless and constant leadership and presence in the Patch, Wyoming Church had fun, built fellowship, attracted new members, and established a fall tradition for members, neighbors and passers-by, all at the same time benefitting mission partners locally and globally. Now it’s time for Jane to pass the mantle of leadership on to someone else!
Here’s what we need to make Pumpkin Patch 2012 another fun-filled and successful mission
Project Coordinator – Oversee the entire patch and recruit volunteers. Reports sales every
day to Pumpkin Patch (on line).
Assistant Coordinator – Learn aspects of the Project Coordinator; work with the Coordinator;
make decisions in his/her absence.
Unloading and Set Up Coordinator – Design Patch layout, welcome truck, recruit unloading
team (the more people the faster the work goes).
Volunteer Coordinator – Line up volunteers and schedule work hours make sure Patch is
staffed at all times. Provide training for sales volunteers. Sales Volunteers are responsible
for “rolling” the patch daily.
Quality Control Coordinator – In charge of patch maintenance which includes removal of
Financial Records Coordinator – Keep financial records, make daily deposits and report daily
sales to the Project Coordinator who reports to Pumpkin Patch every day.
Publicity Coordinator – Publicizes the Pumpkin Patch and associated activities.
Weekend Festivities Coordinator – Plan associated activities.
We need you! Sign up in Fellowship Hall or contact Liz LeClair or Nick Van Gombos to fill these important roles.
