“Everybody Eats”— A WPC Mission Initiative
Rise Against Hunger Community Barbecue Lecture Series
"The generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor.”
- Proverbs 22:9
But why are so many without food, while others have more than enough?
Join us this Fall…
For decades, WPC has supported multiple organizations and food banks to help those who suffer from food insecurity and hunger. This Fall, WPC is not only continuing its support for these groups, but we are looking into the causes of food insecurity and how we–along with help from the community, and state and local governments–can address the root causes.
We are all witnesses to the suffering of our brothers and sisters in Christ, and we are all called to alleviate their suffering.
Join us on September 26th when we will again work with Rise Against Hunger packaging 10,000 meals and stay for a free barbecue on the lawn. Then come back for an exciting Adult Education Lecture Series - “Everybody Eats: A Five Part Educational Series on Food Insecurity, Justice and Connection,” from October 4th to November 8th. We will be joined by experts from the NJ State Office of Food Security and Rutgers University, and discuss our ongoing outreach programs throughout the year.
All are welcome! Together we will serve the hungry, learn from experts and each other, and get involved!
